Naginata

Canon Linked from 3 articles

A naginata was a type of polearm with a long shaft and a blade at the end. It was a melee weapon that could be wielded with one hand. When a village on the planet Genbara was attacked by bandits, one of the village's guards, a Trandoshan, used both a sword and a naginata to fight back against the bandits in melee combat. When the bandits' leader, the Sith Kouru, emerged from her vehicle, the Trandoshan pointed his naginata at her while demanding her surrender. In response, Kouru leapt down, and the Trandoshan readied his weapons, but was killed before he could use them against Kouru.
