Power fence

A power fence was a type of specialized shield emitter designed to provide perimeter protection for installations. Once activated, it produced crackling walls of solid, translucent blue-white energy that prevented objects and energy beams from passing through. It was powered by a power fence generator and its energy walls were produced by durasteel amplifier pylons. Power fences were typically placed in front of alloy or plascrete gates, vehicle obstacles, and weapon emplacements. They were used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War between them.
