R2n Agromech Head

The R2n Agromech Head was a model of agromech droid head manufactured by Industrial Automaton. Often described as an inverted flowerpot, it was less graceful in appearance than the R2a Astromech Head and a row of three tiny photoreceptors and sensors replaced the large radar eye found on earlier models. The R2n featured an auditory sensor, broadband antenna/receiver, electromagnetic field sensor unit, holographic projector, and infrared sensor. It weighed 33 kilograms, was made from copper, plastic, and silicon carbide, and was magnetic. The R2n was incorporated into the R5-series astromech droid, and existing R2n heads were reused in Industrial Automaton's line of R2-AG and R4 agromechs to recoup losses following the R5's discontinuation.

Some pilots disliked the R2n on their starfighter counterparts, as it offered a larger target profile to enemy laser cannons.
