Rainbow lightsaber

The rainbow lightsaber was a hypothesized type of lightsaber the blade of which was horizontally divided into variable-width bands of multiple colors. By approximately 179 BBY, the title of a news report by the Galaxy Feed periodical claimed that miners on Ilum, a planet in the Unknown Regions that served as the primary source of kyber crystals used in lightsaber construction, described the design of the rainbow lightsaber as "possible." The news report also included an illustration of the theoretical lightsaber variation.
