Redirecting manifolds was a technology which diverted emergency power away from a starship's deflector shield, instead channeling it directly to ship's hull repair system. It was developed by the Miyuki Trade League sometime before 3 ABY to provided added protection for a ship transporting valuable cargo. Merchants for Trade League were willing to sell the system for 3150 credits.
In 3 ABY, the scoundrel Kay Vess purchased the system from a Miyuki Trade League merchant for the Trailblazer, her EML-850 light freighter.
