A respiratory bypass system, also called a direct-to-lungs breathpack, was a device used by the Clawdite bounty hunter Zam Wesell that fed air directly into her lungs through her ribcage. The device served a similar function to legendary hunter Cad Bane's breathing tubes, which enabled him to survive being choked by Jedi opponents using the Force.
