The "Rider" Ascension Pistol was a compact and reliable grappling device produced by Merr-Sonn. It replaced modified sidearms with a ready-to-use tool that required no preparation. Its small size allowed easy storage, and its focused design provided greater lift capacity than standard gun modifications. It even allowed the user to carry a passenger, though with some difficulty.
