The SP-4 analysis droid, also known as SP-4 unit, was a model of analysis droid characterized by its amplified optical receptors, cranial sensory ridges. They also had mouth-stalk like vocabulators, which were fully functioning and occasionally featured articulated metal 'lips.' Unlike the modified SP-ISC units, the regular SP-4s did not have any full-body plating and frequently required irradiation cleanings.
