Spray rifle
Canon
The spray rifle was a ranged weapon manufactured by Loronar Corporation. The rifle's ammunition consisted of a highly-pressurized stream of fluid, a powerful sedative suspended in an organic solvent, stored in transparent metallic canisters attached as a clip-on. The substance was easily absorbed through the skin of almost every known species, a process that carried the sedative directly into the bloodstream. It could also penetrate many armors, including environmentally-sealed armor, proving useful against targets that wore equipment that granted immunities against airborne sedatives.
Requiring careful targeting, the stream was less useful against crowds than a non-lethal gas attack. A one-liter cylindrical tank of compressed air propelled the weapon's payload and needed to be refilled from a pressure canister after three or four shots. The rifle was medium-ranged and cost 2,700 credits.
