The TB-47 time bombs were explosives manufactured by Merr-Sonn, and used by several military organizations, including the armies of the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire. They were strong enough to penetrate armor of a vehicle or starfighter and deplete tight forms of infantry. TB-47s played an important role in the destruction of the Endor shield generator and were carried around by pilots for use in boarding missions. They were also known to be used by bounty hunters.
