Trans-accelerator

A trans-accelerator was a blaster component that increased the amount of transformed blaster gas into energy. This resulted in a reduced charge time for certain powerful blaster modules. By 3 ABY, the Galactic Empire had made the component illegal. However, at least one accerator had been stashed away at a smuggler hideout called the Bolthead on the shores of Lake Amari on the jungle planet Akiva.

In 3 ABY, the scoundrel Kay Vess recovered the accelerator from the Bolthead hideout and used it to the modify her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol's pulse module.
