Transcoil

A transcoil was a piece of technology used in M-68 landspeeders. By 13 BBY, the human scrumrat Han used a stolen M-68 landspeeder in a race against the Dowutin Johnair. Han's aquaintance Pace warned Han not to push the transcoil past its limit. Han, however, did not listen to Pace's warning and strained the transcoil too far, causing it to explode and slowing the speeder down. Pace fixed the transcoil by connecting two wires at the back of the speeder.
