The Union Sentry Droid, abbreviated USD, was a model of battle droid developed by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. This six-legged droid was primarily designed for use on worlds with rugged terrains where other droids would have difficulties in moving efficiently. The USD proved to be a worthy war machine but was only used for a short time since it was developed towards the end of the war. Two decades later, during the Galactic Civil War, the assassin droid HK-47 reactivated the production of Union Sentry Droids in the Neimoidian droid factory on Mustafar as part of his plan to create a droid army.

Variants of the Union Sentry Droid included GK-5 Sentries, the USD Class Pulverizer, the Doom Bringer and its hands of doom, GK-14 Defenders, GK-18 Sentinels and the GK Oppressor.
