Vitalicron
Canon Legends version → Linked from 6 articles
The vitalicron was a genetically sealed device used by the Yallow Fellowship, a dark side cult, to contain the memories of a Yallow cultist. Long after the Fellowship had gone extinct, their shrine on Mount Bikja was discovered around 241 BBY by Jedi Padawans Klias Teradine and Tylera Yorrick. While exploring the shrine, Teradine found the vitalicron among a cache of other artifacts. He wanted to take it back to their Jedi Masters, but Yorrick argued that they should leave the artifacts be due to both the morality of stealing and the sheer danger they posed. The genetic seal unlocked and Teradine was overwhelmed by the vitalicron's contents, subsequently becoming possessed and attacking Yorrick, whereupon she killed him in self-defense.
