Walkthrough identification scanner

Canon Linked from 1 article

Walkthrough identification scanners were a type of security technology used by the Imperial Security Bureau in locations such as Killun Station on Killun 71. Their purpose was to prevent unauthorized droids from entering secure locations.

During a mission to steal Imperial access codes from Killun Station, Rebel droids Chopper and AP-5, infiltrating the base, had to pass through such a scanner. AP-5, as a former Imperial droid, had no problem, but Chopper was flagged, although the stormtroopers on guard duty failed to notice. Instead, a signal was transmitted to Imperial controller LT-319 aboard his surveillance starship in deep space, and the controller and his crew subsequently hijacked Chopper in an attempt to find out where the Phoenix Cell's base was located.
