Weather balloons were balloons used for collecting weather information. Weather balloons around the Koboh Observatory were also used to collect moisture and steer clouds away to improve visibility. Jedi Knight Cal Kestis grappled to several balloons to infiltrate the Observatory. Kestis believed the balloons around the observatory looked modified, which he thought was for the high altitude.
