In 3 ABY, a human merchant living on Akiva was accepted into an Imperial Academy and begun selling all their belongings, including a weathered seashell charm, to gain extra credits so they can pay for their new uniform.

That year, the scoundrel Kay Vess taken with the human in the market district of Myrra, the capital city of Akiva. During the conversation, Vess purchased the charm for one hundred credits.
