The XR-32 hunter droid was a new model of battle droid model employed by the Sith Empire during the Galactic War. They were deployed during the Battle of Corellia in 3640 BBY in the northwestern Blastfield Shipyards. Captain Drizan, a member of the local Corellian resistance, convinced the Barsen'thor to destroy a number of them to thin the Imperial forces in the area and allow Selonian scouts to sneak into the area.
