A-A5 Speeder Truck

The A-A5 Speeder Truck was a type of speeder truck that was created for civilian use but was retrofitted by the Alliance to Restore the Republic for use in the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire. Though not ordinarily intended to be used for heavy combat, the vehicle was used in battle and to deploy Wookiee warrior reinforcements. It was equipped with a laser cannon turret as well as heavy armor. Popular and highly successful, the A-A5 was the basis for the development of the A-A5m Emergency Response Vehicle and had a relatively spacious crew compartment, a feature it shared with the A-A8 BackCountry Speeder Truck.
