The All Terrain Personal Transport (AT-PT) was an all-terrain light infantry walker manufactured by Rothana Heavy Engineering. The AT-PT was distinguished by its pair of triple-jointed legs and single-pilot cabin. It was armed with twin blaster cannons located below the cabin's viewport.
The walker was developed before the height of the Clone Wars, a conflict fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems from 22 BBY and 19 BBY. During the war, the three-legged All Terrain Attack Pod walker was developed based on the design of the AT-PT and the All Terrain Tactical Enforcer walker. AT-PTs continued to be used after the war concluded and the Republic was reformed into the Galactic Empire, including by the Imperial Army during the Galactic Civil War, a galaxy-wide conflict between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance.
