The elegant, streamlined Scout could easily be mistaken for a pleasure yacht, but it in fact it was the backbone of the Royal Naboo Security Forces Navy, employed chiefly to assist Naboo citizens against aggressive aquatic wildlife and occasional Gungan raids. They eventually were used in battle against the Trade Federation. They could be upgraded to support additional armaments and armor.
A Naboo scout frigate was used by the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War and was stationed at the Naboo Rebel hangar.
