The atmospheric stormtrooper transport was an open-top repulsor craft used by the Galactic Empire to move stormtroopers at the time of the Galactic Civil War. Such vehicles were notably used at the temporary Imperial garrison base of Mos Eisley, Tatooine, during the search for the Rebel droids R2-D2 and C-3PO.
The transport's design bore resemblence to the Platoon Attack Craft used around two decades earlier by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.
