The mother of Alara Galir was a female who was the wife of Enok Galir, a scientist working for the Czerka Corporation at their CZ-198 research facility. Alara's father was consumed with guilt over the weaponized Flesh Raiders that Special Executive Rasmus Blys had ordered Galir and his fellows to create, and sent an apology message to his daughter and wife asking for forgiveness, believing that he would never see them again.
