Alyn Rae

Alyn Rae was a male Gotal entrepreneur who by around 29 ABY, had developed the cone sock, a chemical-based garment worn on a Gotal's sensitivity head cones to protect them from disorientating and painful electromagnetic emissions produced by droids and other technology. While designing cone socks, Rae worked with several scientists who were not native to the Gotal homeworld of Antar 4, as they were adept at using the equipment required to design and construct the garment. Cone socks were expensive and initially only worn by wealthy Gotals, but their practicality saw them grow in popularity and become favored in energy-rich environments by many Gotals throughout the galaxy.
