The BBQ droid was a B1-series battle droid of the Trade Federation of Planets that acted as a cooking droid and had begun operation by 32 BBY. He was deployed whenever members of the Neimoidian species who were affiliated with the Trade Federation became hungry. In 32 BBY, he was stationed on an asteroid in the Naboo system of the Mid Rim Chommell sector. The droid prepared a meal of four red, cylindrically-shaped foodstuffs with a grill, while it watched pilot Rhys Dallows of the Naboo Royal Space Fighter Corps' Bravo Flight squadron engage in training drills against holographic starfighters with fellow pilot Essara Till. The droid stood at 1.91 meters, wore a chef hat, and utilized a spatula.
