Cham Teleus was a Tynnan industrialist who made a fortune on the Expansion Region planet Tynna along with their significant other Nog Teleus. Together, the couple decided to relocate to the Expansion Region's Cularin system and, to celebrate their new home, organized a number of events to mark the 125th anniversary of the signing of the Cularin Compact. The jollities included festivals, swoop races, other competitions, and a display of native Tarasin and other local artworks including a number from the Teleus' private collection. A number of items were stolen by Gomalo, a Rodian slaver recently released from prison; the haul included a bas-relief sculpture created by him. The item contained the coded location of a nebula in which he had stowed the body of the Jedi Knight Ji-Ad Sarain frozen in carbonite.

Cham and Nog sought help from the Office of Public Safety, who assigned officer Ezra Du'Re to recover the sculpture. The artwork was eventually recovered by Du'Re with the aid of a group from Cularin, to whom the Tynnans offered generous rewards for returning most of their possessions and rescuing Sarain.

The pair later sponsored the inaugural Cularin Classic swoop race.
