Deren's astromech droid

An astromech droid served the royal guard captain Deren, who was in charge of protection for the Pijali Princess Fanry of the Pijali monarchy. When a ceremonial Grand Hunt was hosted prior to Fanry's coronation in 40 BBY, Deren's astromech droid cycled through the sentry data from the event to ensure its security, with the captain further double-checking the former's work. Despite this, the event's prey—a crab droid—attacked the princess, leaving her emotionally shaken but otherwise unharmed. Afterward, Deren reported to Pijal's Jedi lord regent, Rael Averross, in the regent's audience chamber, explaining the preventative work he and his astromech had done, albeit admitting it had not been enough to prevent the attack.
