The Eirriss family was a family that operated the arms manufacturer Eirriss Ryloth Defense Tech and were supporters of the Twi'lek Resistance against the Separatist occupation of Ryloth during the Clone Wars. After the rise of the Galactic Empire the Eirriss family continued to support Twi'lek Resistance leader Cham Syndulla and his continuing Free Ryloth Movement to free the planet Ryloth from Imperial oppression. Consequently, weapons manufactured by the family's company, such as the Blurrg-1120 holdout blaster, were symbols of rebellion against the empire.
