Galen Derlin was a Human male senator who represented Tiisheraan in the Galactic Senate during the final years of the Galactic Republic, and was a close associate of Bail Organa. After the rise of Emperor Palpatine, Derlin resigned his post and withdrew from politics. He returned to his homeworld hoping to escape the Galactic Empire's corruption. His peace did not last long: Imperial operatives assassinated Derlin to demonstrate the reach of Palpatine.
Derlin's son, Bren Derlin, went on to become an important military and intelligence officer in the Alliance to Restore the Republic and New Republic.
