Hamelin was a Human male senior commander who served the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. He was in charge of an Alliance base on the planet Aargonar 3 in the Mid Rim. When the Imperial might conquered the planet, Hamelin's forces fled to a remote asteroid. He later was in command of a starfighter squadron group who raided Imperial convoys following the destruction of the Death Star I.
