Hatchet was a Weequay who was a enslaved in an Imperial mining facility on the planet Sevarcos. Hatchet was caught in the middle of a battle between the Empire and the New Republic. At the urging of his fellow slaves, the Wookiee Greybok and the Quarren Palabar, Hatchet agreed to help turn the tide of the battle in the New Republic's favor by releasing several imprisoned rancors. Later, Hatchet and his friends took part in the liberation of Kashyyyk.
