Johan Volk was a male individual who served as a pilot in the New Republic's Defense Fleet during the Galactic Civil War. He was married to Vira Volk. Volk fought against the Galactic Empire during the assault on the Kuat Drive Yards as a member of Blade Squadron serving as Lieutenant Sandara Li's wingman. Near the end of the battle his X-wing starfighter was damaged and he had to be taken to the infirmary aboard their carrier Amalthea.
