Jorus C'baoth

Jorus C'baoth was a Human male hailing from the planet Bortras, where he was born in 70 BBY, who served the religious Jedi Order during the final decades of the Galactic Republic. A Jedi Consular, C'baoth chose to focus on diplomacy instead of mastering combat, mediating several conflicts throughout his life. Eventually, C'baoth became a Jedi Knight and later a Jedi Master, bestowing the later title upon himself after defeating a group of Dark Jedi.

In 27 BBY, while training the Human Jedi Lorana Jinzler, C'baoth managed to secure funding for his brainchild, the Outbound Flight Project—consisting of a massive starship traveling into the Unknown Regions and beyond while colonizing worlds for the Republic—by mediating a conflict on the planet Barlok for his friend Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. Subsequently, a dozen Jedi and 50,000 people boarded what became Outbound Flight and traveled across the Republic before entering the Unknown Regions.

Unbeknownst to them and their master, C'baoth, Palpatine was secretly the Dark Lord of the Sith known as Darth Sidious, who plotted to destroy Outbound Flight by sending a Trade Federation of Planets task force to destroy the colony starship. However, forces of the Chiss Ascendancy nation intercepted the Federation forces, agreeing to help destroy Outbound Flight to prevent the ship from entering the Ascendancy's territory. Refusing to return to the Republic, C'baoth choked the Chiss commander, Mitth'raw'nuruodo, while fighting the Vagaari slaver fleet. Using the Trade Federation droid forces, Mitth'raw'nuruodo bombarded Outbound Flight, destroying it while killing C'baoth.
