Lenang O'Pali

Lenang O'Pali was an individual who acted as a polemicist and fierce defender for the Galactic Empire, continuing long after it fell in 5 ABY. During the reign of the New Republic, O'Pali delivered a public lecture on the planet Eriadu titled "A Call to Empire: The Failings of the New Republic." In the speech, they claimed that the industrial and transportation networks created under the Empire were examples of it working to benefit its citizens, but when citing O'Pali's speech in his book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire in 35 ABY, the historian Beaumont Kin argued it was the people enslaved or manipulated by the Empire who built such things, not the Empire itself.
