Lourna Dee

Lourna Dee, born Lourna'dee and known by the code Unit 4978/7179 and the pseudonyms Inun and Sal Krost, was a Twi'lek female from the planet Aaloth who held the rank of Tempest Runner in the marauder organization known as the Nihil. One of three Tempest Runners, Dee led a Tempest that was noted for their sadism and forethought, commanding them from a cruiser, which she named Lourna Dee after herself. Prior to joining the Nihil, Lourna had been royalty, enslaved, and a Galactic Republic cadet at the Carida Academy before deserting to instead become a soldier of fortune, donning Mandalorian armor to conceal her features.

Having pursued this career, Lourna eventually found herself confronted with a face from her past when her mercenary persona was approached by her former boyfriend Bala Waleen, who was responsible for leading the insurrection which resulted in Dee being sold into slavery after the execution of her family. Unaware of her true identity, Bala hired her to defend Aaloth against raids from the Nihil, but she instead decided to cut a deal with the pirates, assisting with their takeover of her disowned homeworld. Having joined the Nihil and risen through their ranks to become a Storm under Pan Eyta, Lourna was later promoted to replace Xanaven as the third Tempest Runner after she killed him and thwarted his attempt to assassinate the Eye of the Nihil, Asgar Ro. Though this action earned her the ire of her counterparts, Dee would later succeed where Xanaven had failed, assassinating Asgar herself. She was around forty years old when the Great Hyperspace Disaster occurred, which led the way for the incumbent Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro to take control of the organization.

After Lourna Dee led the Nihil attack on Valo's Republic Fair, the Republic mistakenly believed her to be the Eye of the Nihil. During the Battle of Galov, she falsified her own death with a droid decoy, but was captured and taken into Republic custody under a false alias. Claiming to have been a member of her Tempest, Lourna - known to her captors as "Sal Krost" - was designated Prisoner Forty-Two and sentenced to ten years aboard the prison ship Restitution. After some time aboard as a prisoner, Lourna commandeered the Restitution and renamed it the Lourna Dee, recruiting the inmates to serve underneath her as fresh members of the Nihil organization, which she re-joined. In addition to followers and a flagship, Dee would also acquire a new partner in the form of Quin Carree, a Bivall slicer who she began a romantic relationship with.
