The High Republic: The Rising Storm is a canon novel released on June 29, 2021. It was written by Cavan Scott as part of the multimedia project Star Wars: The High Republic. It was announced at a High Republic panel at New York Comic Con. Picking up several months after The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, it follows a number of characters—Jedi Masters Stellan Gios and Elzar Mann, Padawan Bell Zettifar, former Jedi Ty Yorrick, and reporter Rhil Dairo among them—as they prepare for and attend the Republic Fair on the planet Valo, only for the event to be attacked by the Nihil. In the aftermath of the attack, the Jedi strike back at the Nihil's base on Grizal, but come face to face with the true threat that Marchion Ro possesses: the Nameless, Force-eating creatures of nightmare.
