Mandalore the Binder was a male Mandalorian born the son of a rug weaver on Harswee, a celestial body known for its luxurious loom-woven carpet exports. At some point between approximately 7000 BBY and 60 BBY, they rose to claim the title of Mand'alor, the traditional ruler of the Mandalorian clans. Some time after Mandalore the Binder's reign, they were remembered in Ba'jurne Kyr'tsad Mando'ad, a manifesto of the Death Watch splinter group. The manifesto was claimed to have been written by the group's founder, Tor Vizsla—although Death Watch's opponent Jango Fett questioned that authorship. Jango's bounty hunter son Boba Fett later included the manifesto in the book The Bounty Hunter Code at some point between 0 BBY and 4 ABY.

Mandalore the Binder wore a suit of Mandalorian armor consisting of a helmet and body armor over their torso, arms, and legs. Their right gauntlet featured two spikes, and they wore a kama around their waist.
