Mission Vao

Mission Vao 'mɪʃɪn 'veo was a female Rutian Twi'lek who lived as a street urchin on the ecumenopolis planet Taris during the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War, with her older brother, Griff Vao. In 3963 BBY, Mission helped out the Jedi Zayne Carrick by disarming his attacker, Brejik. After Griff had left Taris with dancing girl Lena, Mission became the closest friend of the exiled Wookiee Zaalbar.

In 3956 BBY, Zaalbar was captured by Gamorrean slavers in the Undercity sewers of Taris. Vao sought out the help of the amnesiac former Sith Lord Revan. After Revan and Vao freed Zaalbar, she gave him access to the upper level of the sewers and joined him in his quest to rescue Jedi Bastila Shan. Following the destruction of Taris, she joined the crew of the Ebon Hawk on its search for the automated shipyard Star Forge.

During her travels with Revan, Mission reencountered Griff, who was captured by the indigenous Tusken Raiders of the planet Tatooine. When freed, Griff asked her and Revan to acquire Tach glands from the planet Kashyyyk to create and synthesize Tarisian ale. After giving Griff the glands, he made a mistake with the ale and disappeared.

Following the Battle of Rakata Prime, Vao along with Revan and his other companions, were awarded the Cross of Glory by the Galactic Republic for their efforts. Afterwards, she and Zaalbar parted ways with Revan and started a business venture together. By 3643 BBY, holostatues of Vao and Revan's companions were part of Axial Park on the planet Corellia.
