NON-3, nicknamed Nonnie, was a NON unit assigned to Padmé Amidala, senator for Naboo in the Galactic Senate, during her six-week orientation session. Quickly becoming the target of dislike by Amidala, the droid had a malfunctioning vocabulator that caused it to slur its words which was never fixed no matter how many times it was sent to maintenance. Near the end of the orientation, NON-3 was reprogrammed to lead Amidala into an assassination attempt which was foiled by Bail Organa, after which it was not seen again by the Naboo delegation.
