Assassin

Assassins were individuals, sometimes professionally trained or experienced, who killed individuals for personal cause, in service of an organization, in return for payment, or even out of enjoyment. A paid assassin was also called a hitman, who might be hired as a mercenary by powerful people such as crime lords, businessmen, politicans, or aristocrats to assassinate their rivals. Some hitmen worked indefinitely for criminal organizations as enforcers to facilitate their operations. Often times, assassins also worked as bounty hunters, being hired by employers who would pay a substantial reward for the death of a certain target or targets.
