Obi-Wan Kenobi's Pijal varactyl

A Pijal varactyl served the Pijali monarchy, living in the palace stables of the Inner Rim planet Pijal during the Republic Era. In 40 BBY, it was the mount for Jedi Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi during the ceremonial Grand Hunt held before the Pijali Princess Fanry's coronation. During the event, the Pijal varactyl kept pace with Fanry as the riders pursued the crab droid serving as the hunt's prey. However, when the droid started firing blaster bolts at Fanry, Kenobi and others came to her aid. Kenobi visited his varactyl twice after the hunt's end, having found a natural affinity with the beast by reaching out to it with the Force.
