Plapper was a dewback on the planet Tatooine in 3 ABY. According to his owner, he was a rescue, and would lick strangers as a sign of aggression.
In 3 ABY, Kay Vess asked Plapper and Turgus's owner, a farmer, to move their dewbacks because they were blocking her way and her pet merqaal Nix was afraid of them. The farmer complied, and Vess and Nix passed through.
