Poyle was a human who worked for the Alliance to Restore the Republic as a lieutenant around 1 BBY. When Cassian Jeron Andor and Ruescott Melshi left the Rebel base on Yavin 4 without permission to rescue Kleya Marki on Coruscant, Poyle briefed Davits Draven regarding Andor's unauthorized leave, and again briefed Draven, along with Mon Mothma and Bail Prestor Organa, upon Andor's return to base. For aiding in the unauthorized departure of Andor and Melshi from the base, Poyle confined Wilmon Paak to his quarters on Draven's orders.
