R2-L1

R2-L1, also known as simply Ell-one, was an R2-series astromech droid with the Royal Naboo Security Forces Starfighter Corps.

It had a programming glitch that made it arrogant, and it was usually paired with Essara Till. One point of friction between them was Till's habit of double-checking status indicators, just in case her astromech overlooked something; Ell-one however insisted that she should break that habit, as it knew its job.

One time, douring a routine space encounter, Essara and L1 had an argument about power allocation.

It flew with her as Bravo Seven into the Battle at TFP-9, during which L1 for once put Essara's preferred allocation pattern. During that conflict, Dren Melne, flying as Bravo Eight, betrayed Naboo and moved against Echo Flight. L1 at first prevented Essara from shooting at him, until she had to tell it to override the FoF protocols.
