Red Wing (pilot)

Red Wing was the call sign of a member of Red Squadron, a Rebel Alliance starfighter squadron which was also referred to as "Red Wing." The Rebel pilot designated Red Wing was second-in-command to Red Leader Wedge Antilles and was tasked with overseeing the individual units that comprised the starfighter wing. During the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Red Wing led Red Squadron fighter units into combat against the starfleet of the Galactic Empire, culminating in the destruction of the second Death Star and the death of Emperor Palpatine in the Endor system.
