Ree Shala was a Twi'lek crime lady in the Corva sector who bought the moon Jaresh around 7 ABY and set up her floating base there. In 9 ABY, she had outgrown it and was hired by the mysterious Human Durrei. He ordered Shala to assault a New Republic communications center of the gas giant Galaan. While she attacked it with her fellow crime lord Mahk'khar, a group of New Republic operatives investigating a relic sought by Durrei entered the battle and made both flee.
