Roisem Barsha

Roisem Barsha was a human female member of the Barsha family. She was married to Nnytyl Barsha and the mother of Jaylen and, together with her husband, the co-CEO of the Barsha Corporation from Corellia. She was also the unwilling stepmother to her husband's other son, Sliro Barsha, who she consistently treated as lesser than his half-brother. When Jaylen was eight years old, she gifted him two Fathier plushies, but purposefully didn't gift one to Sliro even though he would have liked them more than Jaylen. During the Clone Wars, the parents began to groom Jaylen Barsha to become the next CEO of the family company, while Sliro became a low ranking employee of Republic Intelligence.

During the official ceremony for the change of CEO in the early Imperial Era in 19 BBY, all of the members of the Barsha Corp's executive board were arrested by the Galactic Empire for conspiracy. They were tried and placed under house arrest at their compound on Corellia's moon Gus Treta. During their stay, the family were de facto on holiday. At some point into their stay, she gave the BX-series droid commando ND-5, who she believed to be one of the employed droids a green blazer to wear. Weeks after their trial, the executive board was pardoned and in celebration, Roisem Barsha held a party with family and friends at the compound. During the night, all of the Barsha family and their guests were assassinated by ND-5, who had actually been sent to kill everyone present. Roisem and Nnytyl were among the last killed and were witnessed by Jaylen who had tried to unsuccessfully save them. He was however able to survive by reprogramming ND-5 with the help of the compound's droid A1-A1 and thought dead.

Over the following nine years, their son, now known as Jaylen Vrax tried to find their murderer and ultimately learned that it was Sliro who had betrayed them to the Empire and after their pardon had sent ND-5 to kill them all instead. Throughout his adult years, Jaylen Vrax continued to remember his mother saying "you need to know when to say something or stay quiet" and often recited it to himself.
