Ryden Pollad was an eccentric starship designer who worked for the starship company Rendili Hyperworks, where the designer developed the BT-7 Thunderclap assault craft for the Republic Army's Special Forces Division. Pollad's style was well known in the galaxy, and the battle droid M1-4X was able to identify the Thunderclap as the work of the Rendili designer immediately upon sighting the vessel.
