Sprocket was a male Mon Calamari medic and programmer who participated in the Hunters of the Outer Rim tournament on the planet Vespaara. Around 9 ABY, Sprocket created the droid J-3DI, who also participated as a Hunter. His creation was programmed to believe he was a Jedi Knight powerful in the Force. Sprocket saw J-3DI as one of his greatest achievements and felt a fatherly joy whenever the droid made appearances in the competition. According to J-3DI, Sprocket made many jokes. When goons attacked the Grand Arena, Sprocket got injured in the fight.

As a younger member of the Hunters of the Outer Rim roster, Sprocket was considered a prodigy due to his expertise as a tinkerer and programmer. He was a huge fan of the competition before joining and brought that enthusiasm with him. In the Arena, Sprocket fought atop a Command Chair and used modified Blaster Remotes to fire upon his enemies. He supported his teammates in the Arena by deploying small custom Defense Drones and Medical Droids to shield and spray bacta on them respectively. His drones could also be used to reveal enemies through obstacles.

Aside from fighting in the Arena, Sprocket also developed multiple hologames for the Arena's Holo-Arcade which simulated the Arena's maps and Hunters. These games included Boulder Bash, in which eight holograms of Wookiee warrior Grozz would battle using only his signature boulder-throwing move, and Arrow Assault, where eight holograms of Zabrak archer Nox would battle. Sprocket also collaborated with fellow Hunters Dizzy and Pilbush to make the Ewok's custom AT-ET walker.

Sprocket was a fan of Mart Mattin and his Iron Squadron. He also admired the Profundity, and wished he could have had the chance to see the ship before it was destroyed. He idolized fellow Mon Calamari Quarrie.

When the Coruscanti Kubaz Glikkin joined the Hunters, he quickly became embroiled in an Arena-wide scavenger hunt with his fellow Hunter, a pair of Jawa brothers referred to as Utooni. As part of the hunt, Glikkin made off with one of Sprocket's new healing droids.
