Sslanno

Sslanno was a Trandoshan Nihil pirate who served in the Tempest led by Dowutin Tempest Runner Pan Eyta during the High Republic Era. By 231 BBY, Sslanno lost his scales, which did not grow back, in a plasma blast. Sometime afterward, the Er'Kit Nihil Andrik Keller witnessed the Trandoshan pull the spine out of a Whiphid with his bare hands, causing the Whiphid to squeal and Keller to vow to never find himself in a situation where he was the Whiphid.

In 231 BBY, Keller recounted being confronted by the Trandoshan Jedi Master Sskeer at the Battle of Galov from earlier that year to Eyta. The Er'Kit noted he had seen a Trandoshan hunt beforehand, recalling the incident with Sslanno and the Whiphid, and then noting despite his vow, he had found himself in a similar situation to the Whiphid. He then added that while Sskeer had been a Jedi, he could not fight against his nature and had been no better than Sslanno.
